The terminal is not a religion. It is leverage. It becomes useful when it gives you more speed, repeatability, or control.

The right use of the terminal is not doing everything in CLI. It is using it where the mouse becomes slow, repetitive, or fragile.

Many people reject the terminal because they imagine they have to learn everything at once (the vocabulary alone, from shell to what a TTY actually is, can feel intimidating). Others adopt it as a posture and end up complicating tasks that would be perfectly fine in a GUI.
