Full-course lesson IX — Coding on mobile

Preview

This lesson prepares both sides of the setup: the phone (Termux, as the client) and the server (which hosts your tools, repositories, and AI agents). The order matters. You generate the key, test the connection, and only then disable passwords on the server. Otherwise you can lock yourself out.

Termux is published on F-Droid and on GitHub, from the official repository termux/termux-app. The repository states that the Google Play version is no longer updated and is deprecated: do not install it.

Pick one source and stick to it. An app installed from F-Droid and one installed from GitHub are signed differently, so they cannot update each other. To switch sources, back up your Termux data, uninstall, and reinstall.
